At the age of nine, Denise saw her first story published on the front page of the Akron Beacon Journal, her hometown paper. For that story she was paid $50, a huge sum for a fifth grade student.

But it would take years until Denise turned her attention back to writing. During that time Denise completed her undergraduate education at the University of Virginia, receiving a B.S. in Commerce with a concentration in accounting. She began her business career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, where she specialized in luxury hotel clients. Today, Denise pairs a background in traditional and Internet business with her hotel and restaurant industry experience, bringing a wealth of knowledge to her writing. Her specialties are Culinary Travel and Luxury Lifestyle.

Once responsible for ensuring quality control at a luxury hotel company, Denise now utilizes her keen observational skills and impeccable quality standards to produce stories about luxury lifestyle experiences. The author of two books, she contributes regularly to glossy lifestyle magazines reaching upward of a million readers. Denise also pens a newspaper column called Spa Pleasures.

To further enhance her wine knowledge, Denise earned her advanced level sommelier certification by completing a rigorous course of study culminating in written and blind wine tasting examinations. In 2006, Wines of France awarded Denise their grand prize for her writing on French wines. Denise has served as Food & Wine Editor of Florida Table Magazine, National Culinary Travel Examiner for Examiner.com, and has written a wine column for GlobalFoodie. She is available for freelance writing and food styling assignments.
